I have wanted to go there for decades, with Tierra del Fuego right next to it on the list.

I have already visited the most northern village in Alaska, Barrow. It’s a eskimo village of about 5,000. Yes they have polar bears and occasionally someone gets killed by one. But more freeze to death in whiteouts or after drinking too much.

One thing I noticed was their school had a indoor playground.

I also visited Point Barrow that is the most north land point in Alaska. Nobody lives there. In winter you can cross over to Siberia with a dog sled or skidoo’s.

All very interesting, but I've never had the desire  to go anywhere that  cold. CHARLIE.

I don't mind the cold and the snow and even the isolation. But I couldn't live where its dark 24/7 for months.
