I ordered an Encore rifle that the distributor didn't have in stock. About how long will it typically take for a backorder to be fulfilled?

Depending on the distributor and who they get there barrels from. If they use Fox Ridge it will take 12-14 weeks. If they use a "real" custom maker it is longer. My advice is order early so it will be in before Summer!!
By the way what caliber and length are you ordering??

Do not get me wrong I buy from Fox Ridge and they are fine!!!!!!

I didn't order a custom, just a standard TC part number. Blued, 26" heavy barrel, .223 caliber, walnut.

I was waiting for a 45-70 and a 30-30 for my new g2s for almost 8 months until i gave up pulled my money and gave ED a call had both barrels in 5 days....

That is a pretty common barrel, you see alot of them in stock at most places. Should not be too long unless T/C is backlogged. I would try Ed though, bet he has in in stock at a lower price.

I have ordered 2 barrels from Fox Ridge!! 219 Zipper(9 weeks) and just got a 7/30 Waters (5 weeks) Pretty fast service I think..

That was fast!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a .17 Rem from Fox Ridge and was told 12-14 weeks and it took 14 weeks------I was not upset being they warned me BUT then I asked how long it would be for a standard 209x50 barrel and was told 12-14 weeks. I figured this was too long for a stock barrel so I called Eabco and had the barrel in 5 days almost $40 cheaper!!!!!!!!!
What is up with that?
