I had another thread asking you to pray for my son in Boot Camp. Meanwhile, my daughter Jess is in her last year at the Coast Guard Academy, kicking butt as usual. Last month or so she worked below decks in engineering on a cutter from Victoria to Oahu (back home), and now she's in Seattle on a federal engineering internship. She works in an office with a bunch of old craftsmen and engineers; they threw her a $2 million project to manage on day one, pushed her into the lead with the customer and everything. And the better news is, she's been selected to develop a proposal to renovate the Dungeness Lighthouse to submit for federal funding ... yeah, I had to look it up myself. Beautiful old place; 5 mile walk at low tide to get there, great view of Canada, and essential to maritime traffic. For those that pray, I'd ask you to remember her right now; that's a lot of pressure on a 20 year old girl. Its not that she can't do it, but she doesn't know that ... yet. I am grateful for the confidence they're putting in her on these projects, and trusting that God has her there to grow. I couldn't be prouder of her; she'll be home in a month, and we're going truck shopping for her

(her money ... even better)
