Looking for a Muela knife...
« on: February 28, 2010, 01:23:37 PM »
I saw a knife today that I would very much like to have.

Its a straight knife, with a scalloped back, blade somewhat reminiscent to the Puma white hunter. Its handle appears a single piece of horn, brass pommel and tang. The tang and pomel are dovetailed into the finger grouved grip and then slid on the blade. The blade itself is 6.5 to 7" with a conventional leather sheath with single snap closure. Sorry I have no pictures...

Its similar to the "tactile" but much nicer.

Looks like a well built quality knife. What will you be using this style of knife for?

im not usually a fan of fixed blade knives. but i like that one.very sturdy looking.if the serrated part on the back of the blade is sharp and can be used like a serrated knife then you really have the best of both worlds.nice find!
