We've got cottonwood fluffs floating around like you would not believe! Are you seeing extraordinary cottonwood fluff activity in your area?

Earlier today I drove through what I initially thought was a swarm of bug of some sort but it turned out to be an impressive cloud of cottonwood fluff.
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

Nope, we are still locked up in winter.  I've cut most of the cottonwood off my place.  Used to be so bad I'd have three inches of more of it lying on the ground and blowing around.  Now I'm cutting Black Spruce.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Luckily, all but one of my cottonwood trees has succumed to old age. And, hoping the last is in it's last year. My nickname for it, is gopher wood. When you put a log on the fire, you have to gopher another one. I refuse to bring it in the house for heating. It gets used for cooking outside only. gypsyman
