260 vs 7-08

i have a new encore frame but no barrel and i am looking at both of these rds.. any advise would help because i cannot decide.... help.   thanks

The two are very close together as far as bore diameter and velocity that they are ballistic twins.
Both use the same parent case of the 308 Win. 
If you are going to reload the 7mm has more bullet choices. 
264 (6.5mm) Vs 284 (7mm) and bullet weights around 140 grains each at the same speeds.  Both are made to duplicte the 6.5X55 Swede or the 7X57 Mauser in the commercial short actions. 
I am not sure there is an answer that is correct.
Kind of like, do you want Vanilla Ice cream with hot fudge or Vanilla/ Fudge swirl ice cream?

at this point in our sad history,
i'd go for whichever one i could
put a couple of hundred cases
in my hands. lot of tales right
now about folks buying firearms
with no fodder to be had. i know
it's bassackwards, but i believe
i'd buy my brass first.
