The AR was found in the vehicle, he never took it in, only handguns were used inside.

....what did the U.S. Gov't tell the American Indians? Give us your guns, we'll take care of you?
...there are many kinds of wounded, and only one kind of dead. Do it the Handi way, one shot, one kill.

I so tried to back out of this, but I simply cannot.  Along as the site allows me to respond, I feel I must.  Please don't ban me for 10 days.  I'm afraid this thread will get locked before I can try to state my position on this matter.  I think I can best do that by relating one of the many articles on the Net concerning consipracty theorists and Sandy Hook.  I have simply copy and pasted.  Lest I get banned, this is only meant as a matter of information and not directed to any particular person, but to all those persons involved in or believing in the ridiculous theory.  I have not provided a link, as none is needed.  I only mean to say what others are saying about theorists who would speak against America and its administration.  Although I've said plenty against Obama myself, I refuse to speak against the government as a whole.  I think it's my duty as a citizen to speak FOR out govenment, not against it.  I just hope there is nothing herein offensive to any single individual, because I have been duly warned.

There are two kinds of conspiracy theories: The ones about the Illuminati and about mysterious "chemtrails," which lurk forever in the online twilight zone, favored by a hard core of fringe believers; and the ones that, like the equally ludicrous speculation about Barack Obama's nativity, break into the nation's political conversation.
The repugnant and absurd theories about the massacre of children in Newtown, Connecticut, last month seem like an obvious candidate for the first category, simply too insane to gain any sort of wide acceptance. But some of the factors that can bring theories in from the fringe appear to be driving its unexpected surge this month: a connection to America's intensely polarized political culture in general, and a message that appeals to a long-standing fear among gun owners, in particular.
The leading version of the "Sandy Hook Hoax" theory, such as it is, holds that the incident was staged by the White House as a prelude to disarming America. Many of its claims are rooted in contradictory and confusing media statements that came out of the chaos of the first hours of the shooting, and which are virtually always present in such chaotic moments. (Similar confused media reporting served as the basis of the 9/11 Truth movement.)
The theory is ludicrous, but there is hard evidence that it has begun to go viral. The leading, anonymous, 30-minute video created by YouTube user ThinkOutsideTheTV had been viewed 10.6 million times by Friday morning. The search engine Topsy, which measures Twitter conversation, shows discussion of the video rising fast this week starting on Sunday and then, as those conversations peak and drop, discussion of a "Sandy Hook hoax" largely continuing to rise, with only a slight dip. And Twitter is just a tiny slice of a broader social space that includes Facebook, YouTube, and, in particular, email forwards, which typically are the key communication channels for conspiracy theories.
"It's by far the hottest topic of the moment," said David Mikkelson, the cofounder of the popular fact-checking website Snopes.com, which offers a detailed and extensive debunking of the theory's various planks.
The term "Sandy Hook conspiracy" was also a "hot search" on Google this week.
And it has begun to pop up around the edges of broader American culture. On Jan. 16, Washington Nationals center fielder Denard Span tweeted, "I was watching some controversial stuff on YouTube about the sandy hooks thing today! It really makes u think and wonder." His followers quickly responded with criticism: "c'mon man be smarter than that..." and "NO, man. Don't go into the conspiracies. They're garbage, cooked up by truly sick people."
Span apologized in a series of subsequent tweets, concluding with: "For the record if I truly offended anybody, I AM TRULY SORRY! I'm not in the business of hurting people. I'm ok twitter to have a good time."
In Cincinnati, a reporter for the local Fox affiliate, Ben Swann, has publicly doubted that there was just one shooter in Newtown (another core claim of conspiracists), and asked officials to release surveillance footage of the attacks.
After intense criticism, Swann blamed "the smear machine."
And Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton has launched an internal investigation of a communications professor, James Tracy, who has claimed the Obama Administration may have hired "crisis actors" who would grieve on camera and shape public opinion in favor of gun control.
"There is a growing awareness that the media coverage of the massacre of 26 children and adults was intended primarily for public consumption to further larger political ends," Tracy wrote on his blog. (The class he teaches is called "Culture of Conspiracy.")
The evidence on which these budding theories are based is, even by the standards of fringe conspiracy theory, remarkably thin, and demand massive collusion between hundreds of private citizens, the federal government, local authorities, and the news media.
The theorists claim some of the parents and witnesses are paid actors who, because they don't shed tears on camera, are pretending their children died. The "Sandy Hook Shooting - Fully Exposed" video shows a photo of children hugging Obama during a visit to Newtown. The theorists claim one of the little girls is Emilie Parker, who was killed in the shooting. The little girl, who shares many of Emilie's features, is her sister.
Other claims point to contradictory media statements during the coverage immediately after the event. One of those, which was cleared up soon after, was that shooter Adam Lanza couldn't have killed students with a semi-automatic rifle because it was found in his car by police officers. That weapon was in fact, police say, a shotgun they pulled out of his trunk.
Another component of the theory is that there were multiple shooters. But a man initially handcuffed in the nearby woods by police (and implicated by theorists) was a father trying to visit his son's school when he heard shots ring out. He was interviewed and released, but this detail dropped from news coverage when Lanza was identified.
The media is often reluctant to engage such theories directly. The political press spent much of 2007 and 2008 ignoring grassroots conservative beliefs that President Barack Obama was a secret Muslim and that his wife had thrown around the epithet "whitey." But both of those eventually became so widespread, embraced by local elected officials and other public figures, that they were impossible to ignore; their course served as a template for Obama's being forced to display, from the White House podium, his birth certificate.
Now the media is on the cusp of having to struggle with whether or not to cover and debunk another insane theory, at the cost of — critics say — dignifying it. But at some point they may not have a choice: At least one Newtown resident told Salon that he's begun to receive harassment accusing him of cooperating with a government cover-up.
So far, most of the mainstream press has chosen to ignore the theory, though some in the conservative media have confronted it head-on. Conservative media figure Glenn Beck on Wednesday took a call from the father of a Sandy Hook student who wanted to dispel conspiracy rumors. Having to address the theories "makes me want to throw up all over again," he said, and added later, "It happened. It really happened."
Beck told the father he planned to do another show to "set the record straight" on conspiracy theories.

I am not going to step too far into what has become a silly political discussion in which innuendo is taken for hard fact. Not here to defend the sitting President's policies.
But there are some real headshakers masquerading as fact....
Quote
Ever stop and think why guys like Castro, Chavez, Putin, and the Communist party all endorsed Obama for election?
Guys like Castro? Nuh-uh.  The Castro who sorta kinda said something nice about Obama was Mariela Castro, not Fidel. Hugo Chavez.....not a particularly stellar "endorsement", especially from a character as mercurial as Chavez. With endorsements like that, no critics were needed. And then Putin...........some of us are still fighting the Cold War. Communism failed in Russia. The country has been a capitalist economy and its leaders have not been Communists for a generation at this point.
They may not be our friends, but they sure ain't commies.
And the theories that Newtown did not happen, or that it was staged, or that there was/is a cover up??
Belief in any of those boggles the mind. Why? The number of individuals and institutions that would all have to agree to silence is so large that a sane person could not possibly take the ideas seriously.
Every major network and news source, all those reporters, support personnel, All the people in Newtown, all the law enforcement people......all covering up...no one talking. Not likely. Not even close.
Why would they all accept what some of you have said they have? There was that quibble about the high mortality rate at Newtown (96%). And yet that same person implies - by accepting the idea of a hoax or a cover up, that 100% of all the people mentioned above are part of a conspiracy.

What is in it for them? Imagine a reporter for a major news service NOT breaking a story about a coverup...not a chance.
And yet some of the folk posting accept that unlikely scenario.
Do you know what Occam's Razor is? It applies here.

It is a fact that all three wanted to see Obama as President over anyone one else. Please don't try to make it out as not true. As for Putin he was a member of the KGB for sixteen years, and was a member of the Communist party of the Soviet Union. He all of a sudden didn't become a Saint.

http://politics.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474981717211

Money is the root of evil especially in today's world. Just look at how people vote anymore. Its all about what they can get for themselves. Forget good people with good character, honesty, humility, and one that will abide by our Constitution. Instead we vote for the socialist that promises to give us stuff.
Look at how corrupt our government is that we elected to represent us. Do any of you think that money could not buy silence, or that money could not buy lies? How many know exactly what happened? The media surely doesn't know. They only know what they are told.
I'm not saying there was a hoax or cover up. I'm saying that I think its certainly possible, because of the character of our government. Also because of the reporting, and events that appeared to be a cover up. You think the media would speak up if they knew something? The government runs and controls the media. Just look at how they report anything. Money is and can be a big silencer in anything like this. You and I only know what we hear from media outlets. The media only know what they are told, and many times how to report it.
The media is a very big reason we have the corrupt government we have. Government controls the media and our education system, and in turn has created an ignorant populace, which votes for that government. Its just human nature for people to believe what they are told. We are seeing the results of that

Really its a Dad that was visiting his son, that the police are chasing through the woods? Why was the dad running from the police? I'm sure the dad knew it was the police chasing him and not some bad guy with an AR. I'm sure the police had told him numerous times to stop. Claiming it was just one of the dads is pretty far fetched. Thats looking at it through an eye of common sense.
Then we have Robbie Parker laughing seconds before he was going to talk about the event, and his daughter dying the day before. Not saying this is a smoking gun, but frankly his behavior is very out of the ordinary, and I don't see any problem with asking why. When he tried to compose himself to talk, did it not look like an act to you?

Why do some of you think there is such a push for more gun laws? Remember many of those wanting more gun laws and disarmament are not mentally challenged, even thought they appear to be. They know like you and I that disarming law abiding citizens will not make anyone safer, nor will more gun laws. So what do you think the real reason is? Do you think its pressure from ignorant people? Or could their be an agenda that they are not letting you know about, through the media?

it's worth mention that sarah brady stated that total disarmament of the general popultion was necessary for the U.S. to be made a socialist nation. kinda makes you realize just how convoluted the whole gun control issue is!

This thread ended up right about where I thought it would........
If anyone of you can post links to actual, factual data, I'll be happy to look @ them.  Until then, I'll just consider this another episode of "Internet Conspiracy".... :o

There is no link to any photo of the Sandy Hook Rifle because there is no photo of the Sandy Hook Rifle.

That's the point of the thread.  We have photo's of every other  AR15 in the world...EXCEPT THE ONE THAT WAS PURPORTEDLY USED IN THIS EVENT.

The perpetrator is officially dead...there will be no trial and no jury to be influenced by pre-trial publicity.  The case has been closed as to the identity of the perpetrator (they determined  there was a lone shooter before they even removed the bodies from the school, like the JFK assassination  where they determined the outcome before investigating it)  has been established and there is no reason to hold back photo's of the murder weapon(s) in order to trap another suspect who might reveal his complicity by disclosing information known only to a perpetrator.

There is no reason for photos of the gun(s) not to have been released now, one month later,  EXCEPT  THAT THERE IS SOME FRAUD INVOLVED.

It's an ongoing investigation.  I heard on the news just yesterday that the final report will likely not be issued for a year.  There have been many charges made about this event on this thread and many others that are completely unsubstantiated.
Why do you feel a picture of the weapons used is owed to you?  I doubt that even that would satisfy you as I'm fairly confident you would claim it wasn't "really" the rifle........
For this to be a hoax or a conspriacy is impossible.  There are hundreds of children, parents, police, first responders, medical personnel, citizens and media that would all have to keep their mouths shut.  And we all know that no one can keep their mouths shut anything in this country anymore.
This whole thread (and many others)  has turned into a bad episode of "King of the Hill" featuring known conspiracy enthusiast......Dale Gribble......... ::)

You resort to ridicule and insults rather than critical thinking for obvious reasons.

I think a picture is "owed" to people of this country because our government exercises its just powers by the consent of the governed and we require knowledge of important facts in order to determine whether to give or to withhold our consent,  such as in elections.   I am an intellectually curious person, not a sheep or some other kind of herd animal and the truth is important to me. There are many problems  which suggest this event is a hoax, if only in part if not in its entirety.

They solved this crime the  first day, before any investigation had been done.  Just like with the JFK shooting in 1963, the result of the investigation was announced before any investigation ever took place. There is no reason for a final report to take one year... except to  conceal  important  details while they're trying to pass  sweeping new gun control laws and to make witnesses and evidence unavailable through the passage of time and obstruction of the truth.

Before the bodies were removed from the school we were told that all were shot with the same rifle.  We're told by the medical examiner they were all killed with the same rifle (which was recovered at the scene, or so we're told)  even though he is not able to determine the caliber of the bullets recovered.  (How tough is it to get out a micrometer and measure a recovered bullet?)

There is no reason to  hold back photos of the gun(s) used except to deceive  the public and achieve a political victory for gun control advocates.

Your theory that conspiracies are impossible because too many people are involved is demonstrably false.  It's been well established that FDR  had advance knowledge of the impending attack on Pearl Harbor and  took actions to insure the success of the Japanese attack and to cover up the true facts of his treason. The entire Democrat Congress of the day was complicit in the subsequent cover up in the congressional investigations.   It's well established that the Warren Commission Report on the Kennedy assassination is a fraud.

In neither of these cases  has any person ever  come forward and admitted their participation or exposed the participation of others in  these two  conspiracies  to commit treason  and  to coverup the truth facts.

If any person came forward and confessed, that person would be murdered or otherwise disposed of.

"There is no reason to  hold back photos of the gun(s) used except to deceive  the public and achieve a political victory for gun control advocates."

One would surmise if there indeed was a conspiracy involving the evil black rifle, they would in fact be splashing a picture of the murder weapon on every flat surface from here to the International Space Station....wouldn't you think?  SHOW the sheeple the evil weapon of mass destruction...THE Weapon responsible for snuffing out 27 lives....ban, ban, ban, burn the witch, burn the witch!!!!!!!!  Incite mass hysteria by holding up the source of all evil....

Kinda makes sense. :o

The majority fall in line because....? You are saying that most of the people in  multiple national and international news feeds, in law enforcement, and in the town of Newtown (about 27,000 people) have the same agenda and they have all agreed to keep mum. And the rest...."are threatened with the death of their family members". Since none of them are talking and the others are conspiring.....you know these things......how?

Occam's razor....among competing theories, the simplest one is usually correct. It is a broad paraphrase, I admit, but apt in this case.

DDZ you have misquoted.    "It is the love of money that is the root of all evil".  Like firearms, money is an inanimate object, neither good nor bad.

darkgael, since NONE of the people are talking there has to be something up. After all other 'mass' shootings several people were talking. This time NONE!!! Something smells wrong.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/29/nyregion/connecticut-legislature-hearing-on-gun-violence.html
But Mark Mattioli, whose son James, 6, was also killed at Sandy Hook Elementary on Dec. 14, said: “I believe in a few simple gun laws. I think we have more than enough on the books. We should hold people individually accountable for their actions.”        Mr. Mattioli said he also thought some liberals were using the attack in Newtown to spread fear on gun issues.
“The problem is not gun laws,” he added. “The problem is a lack of civility.”

This is just a small piece of the article in the NY Times about the Sandy Hook shooting from 1/29..............I thought some of you might find it interesting.........

So we can suspect that the whole thing was a government/media orchestrated farce?  It's all fake?  To what purpose?  To pass anti gun legislation?  Not even Obama would stoop that low.
"Not even Obama would stoop that low"? Surely you jest. There may be limits to what he can do but there is no limit to what he would do.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.
