Nanuk, Here's to "Maybe one day!".  Cheers ;)   Gotta be careful though.  We'd probably turn out to be something like Tim with 50 or so ::)   I'd have to put an addition on the house.

For a 22" to 26" comparison in the Whelen, Matt Parliament averaged 2815fps with RL15 and the 225gr TSX in his 22" Whelen Handi, I got 2895fps with the same load in my 26" RMEF Whelen.

I picked up a copy of Col Whelen's book "Why not load your own?". In there he mentions using a 26 barrel with a 1-14 twist for optimizing the 35 Whelen. Also had his favorite load which was using a 275 grain Hornady. Wish they still made those...

Hawk has some .358" 275gr RN and 265gr Spitzers, I've used their bullets in the 405 Win and 444Marlin, they're very accurate, dunno about on game tho, never had the chance yet.

Nice! I noticed Swift has some A-Frame .358 280 grains as well.
