H&R 223 Auction Followup
« on: January 01, 2013, 04:37:51 PM »
Hey guys!
A very special thanks to everyone who contributed and supported the auction.#1oneshot won the auction with his bid of $350.00. He donated the rifle and scope back to auction again or donate it to a wounded vet. I contacted Rod Jay of Patriots and Heroes Outdoors. He told me they would love to have the rifle to use in their hunts so I am going to get it ready and send it to them.
It will be nice to think of some wounded vet enjoying a hunt with a Handi rifle and creating some wonderful memories to replace the horrific ones.
Again Thanks
George

Ya done good, George.  They get the rifle, scope and the money.  The guys are gonna enjoy the rifle, and who knows, we may even get a few more Handiholics.  It's a Win Win.

It's heartwarming to see such an event take place and then for the gun to go to the same troop supporting organization is just icing on the cake. I have seen plenty of soldier's lives changed forever by war. This is a great thing for them to benefit from.

Thanks to George for the great idea, the gun, and to #1oneshot for donating it back.

Thanks, Dinny

I'm sorry #1oneshot.  I was remiss in not thanking you too.  That was extremely generous.

Shucks!!!!  Another Senior Moment :o
