Well fellows I should be on my way to Vagas I have come into a pre 64 (1948 ) vintage winchester model 70, the original cal. was 22 hornet and I would be jumping up and down if it had been left that way but someone had it reamed to a 222 rem. and ruined all the $$ value the rifle other than the re chambering is in about 90 to 95 %, I am going to just clean it up and just show off with it when friends stop by, BTW I got it in a trade I hade a revolver had aprox. 125 to 150 in the revolver so I slept rather well last night. :grin:

With no more $$ than you have in it I would say very lucky. I would also say, with it having already been rechambered, I would have to shoot it instead of just showing it off.

Bruce : It will get its share of shooting, I just hope it is as good a shooter as it looks, I have all the loading stuff from 23 yrs ago when the 222 was one of my favorite calibers to load for and shoot, will keep all informed as I work it out.

You might have lost $$$ but the 222Remington chambering is fine,tell us what it does to the 10ring.
