Republicans in House have sold out.
« on: December 17, 2012, 05:31:45 AM »
Now that the debt ceiling and the tax increases on small businesses and other "high income" earners has been conceded to Obama, ask yourself one question: What good is the republican party?

Any child could have predicted this, and it has long been assumed that they would yield to the president, as usual.

The party fielded a lousy presidential candidate. The congressional republicans are worthless. The game is over.

But folks like the constitution party members have no chance at being elected.

we keep coming closer to the time when people will have had enough, and decide to clean out DC.

If DC doesn't clean us out first! I think the next four years is going to be really interesting for gun control. A Marxist president who can do anything he wants because he never needs to get re-elected. A weak opposition party. Disenfranchised people who used to be in favor of the republicans but aren't anymore. There's never been a better time to really push for banning guns.

But there's some hope. As with other federal overreaches in recent years, the states might initiate historic backlashes that eventually favor gun owners. Short-term it's going to be brutal, though.

I agree, the republican party is useless. The only words of dissent spoken publicly are by the likes of Newt and Rush...the elected officials have, for the most part exibited little resistance as our constitution is trampled and our country forever changed. Obama and his chicago machine proved formitable huh?  J

The majority of them did not sell out,  they were never "in".  It's become a big game where they parley power back and forth without regard for the populace or the constitution.   When newcomers try and change the body politic, they are frozen out of committees, etc.

Let 'em go, they've been useless for years anyway.

If we survive another time, maybe we can come up with a candidate with some principles and the gonads to apply them.

At this period of time, I think the best that could happen is everybody's tax go up....let er rip.  Then folks might wake up.
