Any time you see entire districts "voting" 100% for one candidate there is cheating going on. It is statistically impossible.

i respectfully disagree to a point. a true 100 % is statiscally impossible.thats obvious. but there are large districts full of people that think exactly like obama and his cronies.huge sectors of people that are all on some kind of assistance from the goverment.if they are not actually on assistance, they live in a house that is run by someone who is.

now im in no way saying fraud of some sort wasnt present to a degree but i actually believe, like it or not, that we are now the minority.,

True, Mcwooduck;
If one is not restrained by "antiquated" ideas of an absolute God who demands righteousness, often then they are steeped in existentialist  propaganda, and they are likely to beilieve that the "end justifies the means" and do whatever is necessary to WIN..

I have a friend (a SWAT cop from the largest city in my end of the state) who spends most his off time at his lake cottage here in my neighborhood, although he votes in the city.  He went down to vote on election day and they could not find his name on the list.  He asks; "Why don't you have my name on the list, I live right over here on XXX street?  Clerk says, it's not here, but I can give you a ballot so you can vote...and she hands him one..and went to the next voter.
My friend asks; "Don't you want I.D. or anything?   Clerk replies.."No; we can't by law, ask for identification!"

My friend says as far as he knows, he could have done that in every precinct in the city..
''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
Day after the election, on a local radio talk show..
A lady calls in and tells the emcee.." I went in to vote yesterday in _____ & _____  precinct, (a low-grade neighborhood) and the election worker told me I should not vote for Romney..because it would mess up the machines."
The caller didn't fall for that game ..but how many did fall for it?  I guess that would be the same kind of folks who would leave a "hanging chad".. ;) ;D

That's a couple ways in which they are rigged..

If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

   Anyone can easily figure out who the perps are;
a) Who doesn't want legal voters identified?
b) Who doesn't want illegal immigrants being hindered in voting here?
c) Who is it that habitually tries to block the military vote?
d) Why is it always Democrat stronghold cities where the dead vote in great numbers?
e) Who said, "vote early...vote often".. answer.. Mayor Daly (D. Chicago)
f) Who goes to poor neighborhoods, handing out "walking around money"?
g) Who backs rabble like OWS?

Pretty bad when you suck so badly that you have to resort to things like that to win anything.
Even worse when you stand around and let it happen then do nothing but complain about it.
Very bad when you see what is becoming of our country and what kind of toilet we are leavening our
children. Sad that we will be remembered this way. We played our X boxes while America burned.

Sadly, the Republicans lost it for themselves.  There really isn't anyone else to blame.  I am a conservative and what I believe is simple: small, non intrusive government that is kept on a tight leash and away from me.  I don't want to hear any elected official blather about anything that is not part of his or her job as defined by our constitution.  That is the core of political conservatism.

I don't believe that the government has any right or business to comment or even remark on who gets married or not.  Government isn't in the marriage business.  Take a position and you look like a hypocrite and get broad segments of our society annoyed who might otherwise listen to what we have to say.  And not just gays: all those people who have gay friends or relatives or just believe in minding their own business.

You have old white men telling young women that they know better than them what they can do with their bodies.  Know what?  Good people with pure intentions can differ on the issue of abortion.  Make that a political litmus test and you loose a broad swath of voters.  Maybe you are right in your beliefs, maybe you are not but you aren't the one making that horrid decision.  And you cannot know what it is like.  And if you do know then you will probably keep your own council.  And if you don't, do not presume to know better than those who are directly involved.  In any event, it is not the place of old men to dictate to young women on what they can do with their bodies, and certainly, not if you want to win an election.

We rightly fear the growth of a welfare state.  We can see what dependency on government has done to some European countries.  But tarring all recipients of government money with the same broad brush is simply wrong.  And worse than wrong, stupid.  Particularly if such opinions come from people who spend more on a haircut than many folks earn in a week.

That's why we lost.  Arrogance, presumptuousness, lack of humility and stupidity.  This latest loss might well be for 12 years duration.  I fully expect a new, shinier Hillary will emerge in 2012 and, if the last two elections are any indication, win.

Small responsive government is a message that a majority of Americans can get behind.  It allows us liberty and does not presume to dictate in areas that are not constitutionally permitted.  Positions on so called moral issues by people who want to lead us get rejected and that is a good thing.  It is a good thing because it shows that there is a line that people will not let government cross when it comes to interference in their lives.  And that, in itself, is manifestation of the most basic conservative principles.

We may have a shot against Hillary but not if we set ourselves up as arbiters of morality.  That's being done by ruling classes already, in places like Iran, and NK and Saudi Arabia, and the outcome ain't pretty.

eta: and if we do have democrats in office for the next 12 years you can sure as hell count on a liberal supreme court for as long as many of us will live.  And if that happens the game is well and truly over.  But we blocked gay marriage ::)   Excellent.

Thank you for your kind words.

I watched the last campaign with shock.  From the primaries to the week before the election I had the evil thought in my mind that the RNC and all of the candidates were Democratic operatives tunneling from within to throw the election.  The implications of the results are finally sinking in and I am thinking that the nature of our country is going to suffer an elemental change.  A "fundamental change" to quote our President.

To quote an old Buffalo Springfield song: Nobody's right if everybody's wrong.  I suspect that the politics here is Libertarian/Conservative/Republican.  We have to lose the arrogance and really reach out.

I am moving to Florida soon.  I half jokingly told a bud down there that I ought to run for office.  He took it seriously and said he'd be manager, got another guy (newspaper writer) to be the PR guy.  What started as a joke might actually amount to something.  My bud is gay as gay can be.  How long do you think that he'd stand with me if I told him I would stand in the way of his happiness?  And could I respect him if he would?  God God, he is a friend first and foremost and I stand with my friends.

And Newtown CT is two towns over.  I am there a few times a week.  What happened wants to make me cry, I still have not read an account of it, I can't yet.  I also know full well what it means for my interests and for the principle of gun ownership.  Plus a number of other things going on in my life that are really crappy.  All of this stuff and the question gets raised as to whether the loss was due to a conspiracy.  Jesus wept.

I'll give you another quote:

Cassius:
"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves, that we are underlings."
Julius Caesar (I, ii, 140-141)

To fix things we need to recognize where the problem lies.  Like a drunk on the way back, you have to see the problem clearly and we are the problem.

Maybe I should run for office, I'm certainly pissed off enough to make it an interesting race. ;D

I wasn't aware that queer marriage and abortion were the main issues in the recent election.  It was little insignificant things like the national debt, the non-budget $ trillion deficit (non-budget, because there hasn't been one in four years) and as was mentioned--who will appoint the next Supreme Court Justices, so yes, our Constitution and liberties were issues.  Apparently the majority of voters couldn't be bothered with triviality.

if your a queer  and government tells you who you can and can't marry...OR
if your a woman and the government claims jurisdiction over your crotch TOO
WE  as gun owners don't want a government  taking our guns....
many don't think the 2nd amendment is important and wish to impose their will on us

Concur.  The issue is that some went out of their way to marginalize the message.  Bottom line: we lost.  Maybe for 12 years.  Worth it?  I don't think so but your milage may vary.
