They seem to be doing a good job of making the headlines lately. Things like this down there and even here are nothing new. To a lot of them stealing has been breed into them by generations of doing it. Even their own legendary hero Poncho Villa made negitive comments about his own people doing this.He told them it wasn't helping their cause and ordered them to stop. He thought he was on a Robin Hood type mission and looting and rape was something he would not tolerate. Santa Anna had the same problem with his army right before General Sam Houston caught up with them. He also told them to not act like barbarians they were soldiers, and they were there to secure Texas as a territory and not to sack it.

There is an older born again Christian, who is an expat Mexican going to our church who finally became a citizen of our country legally. He openly admits that in his youth he only went to church to see what he could steal, and to try and find women to sleep with. And he can tell you an earful about his so called people back home. He says as a kid he was told that it was ok to steal from someone who had something that he did not. And that it is customary as the mark of a man to have a mistress or two on the side besides his wife. Illegitimate children were not so much of a church thing, as it was a mark of his being macho [/size]in the eyes of his peers. When he first came here they convinced him that all the women here in America [/size]will want him. And if they ignored his advances then they were disrespecting him as a man and to resort [/size]to any means necessary to change that.

Mexico could be a great country eccept for government corruption.
the country has plenty of oil and gold/silver, but that goes straight to mexico city into just a few pockets.   so everyone there has to steal or swim the rio-grand.
we know they are hard workers and through my daughter, mexican heritage, we've come to know quite a few of them. and some have become good friends.

I would say we need to invade them and clean up the country, but, we are messed up too.
