I thought I had gotten myself an early Christmas yesterday when I was finally able to get a 45LC Classic Carbine that I had been watching for about 2 years. This particular Pawn Shop didn't want to deal at all, but I was in luck yesterday. They had all guns marked down for Christmas...and the owner was in there and he wanted it gone because it had been there for a while. To make a long story short, I walked out with a like brand-new carbine!!! Today I go in my local hangout(havn't been in a few weeks because of work and woods), and what do I find on the shelf but a 158 Topper 30-30...just like the one my dad gave me for my first deer rifle...walked out with it for $150...It is now residing in my gunroom! It's ruff and loose as hell, but I don't care. I still have my first one although I have painted and sanded and repainted and refinished til it's now camo'd and the wood is burnt and natural looking. I'm planning on trying to get this one I just bought back to it's original glory. The last 158 topper I found was a 22hornet that was trashed and the guy wanted $450 for it and wouldn't come off a penny. I'm happy right now...this thing may not shoot worth a crap but I'm gonna get it looking good!!!
