Does anyone have any info on Escort shotguns, I know they are made in Turket - but has anyone used one?

Hi, i have two 12g escort shotguns, one is the MP pump 18' cylinder barrel, near new, no problems, wide spread pattern at 15 yards, no jamming, no FTF or FTE.
The other is a 28' semi auto from 2005 that I bought second hand, and found that the locking lug in the bolt had broken in two for the previous owner and occasionally jammed when the broken off part rotated as the bolt slammed home on a shell. Easily fixed by a replacement provided free by the importer..it was a problem with the heat treatment of one batch of lugs circa 2005..doesn't happen to the new ones....but definitely worth checking on at this age.
However, using it after the replacement of the locking lug, and with the original barrel, it fired as fast as I could pull the trigger without problems, to point of aim, and good patterns to 40 yards plus with IM choke, lead 4 shot ,1+1/8 (reloads).

I have just finished testing a spare barrel that I bought for the semi auto, and the breech moved back off the barrel nearly half an inch because the sweated joint let go, jamming the loading lever against the bottom of the rear of the breech. I couldn't figure that out at the range, but it sure stood out when I compared the original barrel with the spare on the bench at home!

I must have meaningful dialogue with the gunsmith who sold me that spare barrel!

To summarise; these guns are made to a price and I though have had problems with the semi, I regard it as a learning experience, and as far as I am concerned I am looking forward to using them both again.
