Finally! Respect for Barry Manilow
« on: October 26, 2012, 10:35:31 AM »
I've never liked Barry Manilow's music, just a matter of taste. But he's been successful and I like that and wish him well.

But now my respect is very high. While he was crooning he was also writing popular advertising jingles, like the state farm jingle (and like a good neighbor....state farm is there...) and mcdonalds "you deserve a break today..."

Pretty cool!

Looks like he made it...
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Although my taste is geared more toward the Boss or Dire Straits, I have a lot of respect for Barry Manilow.
He writes the songs that the whole world sings, and at 70 or 80 years old, he is still a chick magnet.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

I always liked his music, and thought he was a good entertainer.  I always had respect for Barry Manilow.  Of course I liked the Bee Gees too.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
