45LC chamber plus 45ACP reamer = ??

I've been squinting at the SAAMI drawings for 45LC, 45 ACP and 460S&W magnum for a bit now.

If I have a 45LC chambered Handi or Boltgun, can a 45ACP reamer be used to deepen the chamber to 460S&W or 454 Casull?

If you have a way to reach onto the chamber deep enough, I would think it would work, but the ACP is quite a bit shorter than the Colt, etc, so that may be a headache for you and may prevent you from being able to do this.

The GBO 45ACP reamer won't cut deep enough for the 460S&W, the cutting flutes stop against the rim cut long before the chamber is deep enough, I don't think it would do the Casull either, but we have a Casull reamer, so that's a moot point. Sorry bout the fuzzy pic.

  Thats what I was thinkin  when I last used that reamer a year and a half ago.  CRS made me not remember.    Jed

Thanks for the replies--does the diameter of the reamer increase after the cutting flutes stop?  Or taper out?

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, just curious what's standing in the way of just running the ACP reamer deeper.

The cutting section of sharpened flutes end which are smaller in diameter than the body of the reamer, so the reamer won't enter the 460S&W chamber far enough to cut the entire chamber, I checked it for fit in my 460S&W Handi. You can rent a 460S&W reamer from 4D, that's where I gone it from to do my 45 Colt barrel.
