They told me that they don't recommend using anything but American made brass case ammo in their Minis.
What experiences have Mini 14 owners had with different kinds of ammo? There are foreign made rounds that are boxer primed, brass cased and non-corrosive. Even Hornady makes steel-cased practice ammo.

When
had my mini 30 it never failed to fi
re
any of the Rus/ RJChi or brass ammo I fed it. Hitting anything was another thing but never had a problem it functioning.

My Mini-14 Ranch will digest anything it's fed . I've shot a bunch of Wolf steel cased ammo through it , with no ill effects !

my mini will eat anything....russian, chicom, czech, and american..... well over 5K rounds through it and no hiccups.
