Gone for a week and the garden explodes..
« on: July 08, 2012, 01:57:01 PM »
Just got back from being gone for a week (to too hot Indianapolis) and my garden has exploded!  My tomato plants are now over 5' tall, and some have fruit the size of baseballs.  I have peppers on several of my pepper plants, zuchini's starting, lots of raspberries and blueberrys, cukes and winter squash vining.  Potato plants starting to blossum and green beans starting on those plants.

Its amazing what one week will do with warm temps and rain. And its good to get back to temps in the 80's rather than the reported 107 degrees that it was at my son's wedding.  I feel bad for the farmers south of Wisc.  I've never seen corn looking that bad.
