got my 357 barrel from Remington today
« on: May 15, 2012, 10:49:17 AM »
Thanks to Brian everything went smooth, only took 13 days from the day I dropped it off at the post office till it was delivered to my door. got it all put together and ready to work over the barrel according to the FAQ site. then to the range ;D
I do have to say the barrel program is great but it isn't a bargain . my total cost was $193.55  of course I opted for the short TALO barrel and it is quite a bit more. I would do it again if something I want becomes available. I stopped to figure out what I had in this 357 Handi-rifle and with the receiver, stock, scope ect. ect. I have a little over $460 in it and it ain't been MAXed out yet ;D . that being said it is one of a kind and it is exactly the way I want it, and I have no problem with that. It is why I love these little single shot rifles. you are only limited by your imagination and pocket book 8)

Handi-List
 204Ruger, 223Rem, 243Win, 30-30Win,450 Marlin, 44Mag, 357Max, 357Mag, 45-70, 20ga Partner, 20ga shorty.

Congrats on your new barrel, they are nice and your right about setting it up the way you want to. Mine has a cheap bushnell on it but it shoots great. And if you decide to max it you wont be sorry.
an unloaded wepon is equal to the same mass and volume as a rock.

Congrats on the Mag. I think it's the most versatile rifle that H&R makes... especially when reamed to Max. Mine shoots 38's and 357's better than it did before the ream.
