Turkey choke won't some out easy - is that normal?

New Benelli Supernova.
New Primos .655 turkey choke made for Benellis.

This choke has a knurled end for hand tightening.
Make sure its hand tight when i shoot it.
I've shot a total of six Rem Hi-Vel 2-3/4's and three Win 3-1/2" through it.

Went to change the choke in the field today. The Primos turkey choke was easy to unscrew by hand but the chamber end of the choke would not go past the barrel threads, as if it had expanded.

I had to put the choke in the vise and pull the gun off of it. Thought it might be powder residue messing it up but cleaned it up and it still stuck. Mic'd it, definitely had place in it that was 0.005" thicker than the rest of it.
Rigged something with the drill to stone the bulge out. Barely took 0.001" off of it.
Now I can wedge it in by hand, then easily hand tighten it, but when its time to take it out, I have to put it in the vise and pull the gun off of it. I anticipate going through the same process next time I shoot it; seems like it should just bulge again.

Is this normal for these guns and turkey chokes, or did I get a funky one?
I am regretting spending $50 for this piece of tube, but if that is the way they work, I can reset my expectation.

Have no experience with that particular choke/gun combo, but doesn't sound right to me.
 
I'd be afraid the barrel threads will get damaged from forcefully pulling it out!
 
Have you had this problem with the Benelli chokes that came with the gun?

I would  be returning the choke asap. I've not had to do this my turkey chokes in various guns and would be more worried about the gun than the choke.

I have used some the factory chokes successfully with 2-3/4's.
Used the full choke today with a 3.5, and it came out easily.
That Primos is going back.
