In my spare time!
« on: March 18, 2012, 02:59:49 AM »
Well sitting around wondering what is my next caliber going to be. These are my thoughts. I have a 357 maxi that I love. I have started to look more at the heavy slow bullet calibers. Starting with the 44 mag but the maxi with 180-200 grain bullets seems its equal. I then think 444 as I can probobly load it down to slightly better than 44 mag and gain a little extra say 50 yards more with a little extra energy. But then I can probobly do that with the 45-70 also. I dont do cast bullets which I take is a draw back when looking at my wants so with jacketed bullets what would be my best bet and should I be includeing the 35 rem in this also but I have a 30-30 already.

Ream a .35 or .357 barrel to .356/.358 ;)   Simple, and you'll like it ;D

You are limited only by money and imagination. I suggest buying a 30/30 and rechambering and reboring it to 375 Winchester. Maybe not very imaginative, but it's not something you mentioned in your original post. Having completed that, I further suggest letting me test it out for you. Be happy to.  ;D
