Family Hierloom Sword?
« on: April 01, 2012, 03:04:58 AM »
Greetings,

I would like to purchase a sword either samurai or basket hilt of hierloom quality any suggestions?  I fear so called originals, so have no problem with a know modern manufacture.

Your thoughts.

I've never handled any of their products, but they've been around for quite a while.

Paul was known as a great swordmaker.  Starting in the early 2000's, he moved to China and started a company there known as Hanwei.  Hanwei is a maker of a lot of high end Japanese/Chinese(and other) edged weapons....they tend to be rather expensive, but not so much as other solo sword makers.  Google on either Paul Chen knife maker or Hanwei.
