38/55 load info needed.
« on: February 20, 2012, 04:13:39 AM »
I can't find any info as to what powders and charge amounts for the following bullets.---   Hunters Supply Hard Cast Bullets 38-55 WCF (.381 Diameter) 260 Grain Lead Flat Nose. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to try them in my H&R Target Classic.

The 260 weight is not a common one must be a result of the lead mix..

Anyhow 255g data will be fine as long as you start lo and work up.

I have used Unique for lite loadings and 3031 and RL7 for heavy jacketed loadings.

Many powders will work.

Good luck,

Lonewolf5348 is using IMR3031 under 255gr bullets for excellent accuracy in his 38-55.
