First kill with Barnett
« on: December 30, 2011, 09:31:47 AM »
I bought a Barnett Wildcat C5 3 weeks ago so I could continue hunting after rifle season ended here in Oklahoma. I took it out Monday and some does got fairly close but wouldn't close the distance needed for the shot. I went out again this morning and a group of 6 does came in and finally gave me a shot. The shot was 20 yards broadside with the Rage 2-blade broadhead with the 1.75" blades. I hit her high but took out both lungs. She ran about 50-60 yards with absolutely no blood trail to follow. This was not the broadheads fault as she had a massive entry and exit hole with all the blood still in her when she fell. I would really like to have seen the blood trail had I hit her 6" lower. Anyway good eating on the way. Thanks, Charlie
