Laid away a Big Boy 357

I recently laid away a Big Boy 357 at Buds.  I won't get it until March for my birthday.  This will give me time to get the extras and plenty of ammo for when it arrives.  I stopped at Bass Pro Shops yesterday to see if they had one I could hold.  The counter guy said he hadn't been able to get them in for the last couple of months.  They must be a very popular model.  Hopefully I can get a lot of good information from the folks here..

Big Boy 357 is a wise choice. My original one had several problems but Henry replaced it. It is a great shooter, and a fantastic looking piece of workmanship. I shoot mainly 38spl to keep prices low. Give it a little time when you first start shooting it. Both of mine took about 50 rounds to “loosen up”. Extremely accurate with iron sights. Should be dead on if you scope it. It is heavy but its so balanced its not a problem.

I plan on shooting a lot of 38Special, especially reloads.  I have 2 Kahrs that take between 200 and 300 rounds to break in, so I figured to have quite a few 38's on hand for break-in.  I may scope it after I try iron for a while.  Some on here have reported that newer models have been drilled and tapped on the receiver for scope mount instead of the cantilever.  I will just have to wait and see.

I love my Big Boy .357. It shoots great with either .357 Mag or 38 special.
