My step son and his wife came to visit us for the holidays and I took him shooting on the last hectic day. He was in the Ukrainian Army so he has played with the AK rifles already but that's all. So I broke open the safe and brought out the 600 Nitro SS, the 450 Nitro DR, a 500 BPE DR, a 577/500 BPE DR and a 9.3X74R DR.
He had a blast! He was grinning most of the time! And he actually did pretty good at the targets too!

Pics 1 and 3 are a John Lyell underlever 500 BPE with Damascus barrels. Circa 1870. It still shoots great!
Pic 3 is a Alex Henry hammerless 577/500 BPE also with damascus pipes. I shoot low pressure smokeless loads in them.
