Has anyone ever used these for deer and hogs? I am wanting to know if they perform like the .243 85 gr HPBT. My son uses these in the 243 and they are awesome. I am wanting similar results with my 270. Thanks for the help.

My brother uses them in his 270 and its the quickest killing bullet I've ever seen. It kills much better than the factory loaded 130gr remington core-lokts my dad uses. It is rare that they take a step after a double lung shot when my brother shoots deer. Don't know about hogs but I'm sure it'll do fine. They always seem to exit and leave a big hole. The only reason I don't have a 270 is because everyone in my family has one and I like to be different. But if I did break down and buy a 270 the 140gr HPBT Gameking is the bullet I would use.

The standard load for my .270 Win is Hornady 140 SPBT (interlock) driven at around 3,000 fps and it is dynamite on the game your are proposing.
I used this load successfully last winter on Tahr and Chamois in New Zealand's south island and it performed brilliantly.

The 140 gr. Sierra is the only bullet that I load for the 270 Win. They shoot accurately, and kill cleanly.
