handi barrel program

i called h@r today wanted to find out availability of 44mag barrels the guy on the other end said we do have some but if you send in your receiver to be fitted i dought you will get one by the time we get your receiver he said it could be two monthes or more.do they really want to sell barrels sounded like he was trying to talk me out of it. :o

Sounds like he meant they would run out of barrels before your reciever would get there.

Bad time to order barrels with hunting seasons upon us.
 
I would imagine they are swamped!
My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

You would probably be madder in two months getting your reciever back with no barrel than you are right now.... May not have been real tactful but honest, especially since 2 months puts us smack in the season.
But like we always hear, call three times and see what the answers average is. Or PM Brian56 and see if he can check inventory and reply to you. He was very helpful when we needed a barrel fit.  Hope you get good news.
