« on: December 07, 2003, 05:02:35 AM »
Hello, Has anyone dealt with: Jessie at Skeet Shooter's  <http://www.skeetshooterbrass.homestead.com/>
I placed an order with them mid November for some 10 and 12 ga. brass shells. Have not heard from them since, emails and phone call no help either. Is their a long wait for their products? thanks for the time.......Dan :D

I don't know about the long wait, but I do know Skeet Shooter. He shoots with us at the North Alabama Regulators and is a good pard. His operation is small and he has commented on being swamped. As to his product, everyone I know that uses them loves them. Try e-mailing him again.

 The wait was long, about a month. What got me thinking was no answer to email or telephone call (2). I did recieve the items I ordered. The product I got from Jessie were TOP SHELF, the very best will order again and certainly take the wait. Dan

I'm glad to hear that. I think part of the problem he has is the fact that he lives in Memphis, Tn, and the plant that does the manufaturing is here in Alabama. His brother in law or son-in-law is the one who manages the manufacture, Skeet handles the orders. He plans to move back here, but is waiting till his retirement in a couple of years.

I note that Old Wester Scrounger has CBC 12 ga now with Boxer rifle primers.  The other sizes use Berdan primers, alas!  Ten ga is not offered.
The CBC is under a dollar ($21.95 per 25) and superb quality.
Cheers from Darkest California,
Ross

Midway carries them as well, I think. I asked Skeet Shooter about them back in the summer and he told me that CBC only makes so many a year, then you are on backorder. Also, the hulls are thinner than plastic, so you have to use 11 guage wads for a 12 guage shotgun. Where do ya find those? I'm sure Old Western Scrounger probably has 'em, but that is a real pain to have to order EVERYTHING! And why use rifle primers? Skeet's brass uses 209 primers. His shells are expensive, but they are quality. Another thing Skeet Shooter makes is a guage reducer. You can get them to reduce a 12 to a 20 oreven a .410! They are the same size as a regular shell. I plan on getting a few to use for my daughter when she starts CAS. I have a 12 guage that is short stocked, and with the 20 guage reducers, it ought to be just right. And, no I don't have stock in his company! :-D  Skeet is just a good friend with a good product.
