The Leupold but I prefer the 2X.

The Bushnell 2--6x will allow the versatility to use 2x if you are close and slip it to 6x if you need to concentrate on 200yds.  The one I have allows you to ''index'' the zero point.  Loosen the tiny screw in the turret and lift it. Index the tiny pointer to 6oclock and replace the tiny screw. Now if you have zeroed at 100yds for example, you only need to add clicks to get to 150 or 200 when you need them.  Add this info to your notebook.

4X
I have two 4X scopes.  One on a 375 H&H and have no problems hitting things out to 200 yards.
the other is a 22 Mag and the CTG has me stopping at about 150 yards with it.  But I have no problems with Rabbits and ground squirrels up to those distances.
Either are not a problem for quickly getting on small animals and would not think getting on a deer or larger animal would be a problem in woods.
The neat thing about a fixed power scope is there is nothing to change.  The plex refrence points are the same.  Where as with an adjustable scope the magnification can change the referance.

It's really hard to shoot at moving game with the scopes over 2X.  That's why I don't like them.

The club I belonged to in So Cal had a running deer shoot every month and it helped getting me to shoot better at moving targets.
The same with rabbits in fields with 22's

I've never shot a deer that was standing still.  I hope to one day.

I have.  A few times.   Most have been moving through the woods or swamps.

By all means use the 2-6 Bushnell. Keep is set on 2 power for the close shots and for the wider field of view. Once you locate you game in the scope you can always turn up the power. I have learned that you always have time to turn up the power but you never have time to turn down the power when a deer shows up. Load you us some 125 gr Nosler ballistic tips 2700 to 2800 fps and sight in 1 1/2" high at 100 yards and you will be on the money at 200 yards. Don't worry about shooting over or under a deer out to 250 yards with a center shoulder hold. The 125 Nosler ballistic tip is a real deer killer as long as you keep it under 3000 fps impact velocity. I use it in a 308 Win. at 3000 fps and a 30X47 HBR (it is a wildcat shortened 300 Savage case) at 2850 fps in rifles and in a 14" T/C Contender 30-30AI pistol at 2670 fps and out of 30 some deer shot with this bullet only two have even taken a step and they did not go over three jumps. It kills much better than the 150 gr bullets and the recoil is lighter also.
