Here is a Turk Mauser that I have modified only slightly...I had a barrel installed(Adams & Bennet)...It is a F34 contour 25-06 24"...The walnut stock is from Brownells and the scope is a 4X Mauser(Japanese)...The Dakota style bolt was added and the bluing is the 44/40 paste...I love that stuff,it gives a nice flat black finish..
This one shoots 1" groups at 100 yds.

Nice work Aardvark. What is the total weight of the rig with the scope?
I'm nearly finished with my VZ24. It is a 25-06 also with an ER Shaw 24" barrel. I love it, but wish I could lighten it up a touch. It's about 9-1/2" lbs with the scope.

I am guessing that it is around 9 lbs...It is a slightly large diameter for a sport contour but Adams and Bennett barrels are like that...I am a fairly large guy so I don't mind a little weight in a rifle...Helps to hold it still a bit easier...
