Ordered a sight hood for my nine inch FA 353 yesterday....  Those FA guys and gals are nice people..  Makes me want to order more stuff just to to get that kind of service...!

How much was that? Just sent the $$$ off for a used 10" 44 Mag without the sight hood. Thinking about maybe getting one too.

Does it work with stock sights?

I thought the only hooded front was the adjustable silhouette front with hood, which requires the silhouette rear because they sit so high.

You may need to change the front sight blade.  The blade is inserted through the hood.   I use the ISGW Silhouette rear sight with the hooded front sight on my  9 and 10 inch FAs.

The hood will work only with the adjustable front sight or the original sharply undercut front sight that has a slot cut in it to hold the hood. The hood will not work with other factory original equipment or my undercut replacements.
