:D I like the 25-06 and will even use it on cow Elk, that being said a 243 will handle deer, goats, yotes and smaller stuff and not bruise u up like a 100 rounds of 25-06 will. Jess

Go with the .243 win. IT's a good deer/ preadator caliber.

I want the .30-06 with 165gr BTSP, but then Alberta deer run a little on the large size!

My favorite bullet is the 165gr BTSP Hornady Interlock. Bang for your buck you cannot beat it! They are accurate as all get out and pancake the bucks! The Hornady Interbond is pretty darn good too, but costs a little more.  :-)

think the 270 or the 30-06 you can do the 270 down to 90 gr's and up to about 170 or the 06 down to 125 gr. and up to 180, both are very good rifles!

O.K. Guys....I need an opinion. I have my med to heavy hunting calibers covered from .270 to .300 Mag. What would your choice be for an accurate lighter weight centerfire rifle/cal that would handle coyote etc but still be adequate for Deer?

260Rem or 25-06.

Browning A-Bolt Micro Hunter, Remington Model 7, or a Kimber Model 84 all in 7mm/08.
