Pray for Patty.
« on: February 02, 2012, 03:07:03 PM »
We have to drive into Jewish hosp in the morning. It's about 1 1/2 hr drive. I hate city driving anymore and every time I have to go to Lou I have a hell of a time finding my way out of there. She's been havings probs with high blood pressure for a while. Our family dr dbld her lisinopril to 5 mg and after a week little difference so he sent her to a heart dr Tues who suspects a blockage. This dr dbld that and another one. If there is I pray that he can just use stents and she won't have to undergo open heart.
On the bright side. We saw her new foot dr today and he said things look good, she's on the rt track and won't need to see him for 6 mo. He agreed that there is NO bone deterioration, the other one was lying. Prayers appreciated. My nerves are about shot, really dreading driving in there. POWDERMAN.  Sad Sad

NO bone deterioration, the other one was lying. Prayers appreciated. . POWDERMAN.  Sad Sad

Maybe the other doc wasn't lying.
Maybe GOD healed the bones.'
HE healed me when the docs said there was no cure and I just had to learn to live with it.
Had to go every three months for check up.
Last one I went to I told the doc I had no more symptoms.
He asked what I did
I told him I prayed and had others pray for me also.
It's been over 20 years since that day.
And not a symptom ever again!
Thank GOD!
My family will keep both you and Patty in our prayers.

PM, a lot of Docs prefer stents and it's not a big deal putting them in.
praying that's all you have to do if anything.

Just got home this afternoon. We planned on driving home Fri evening. Her main artery had a 90 - 95% blockage, another lesser one was 99%. He showed us film of him working and the main artery had a rather long blockage. He managed to get a stint in there after cleaning and expanding, he said he used the longest stint they had. The 2nd one he worked on a long time but couldn't get around an almost horseshoe bend. Patty was on the table almost 2 1/2 hrs with him doing everything he could to open the 2nd one too. He was visiblt disgusted with himself. He said, I'm used to hitting home runs and all I did today was get to 3rd base. He said he sees no real problem with the secondary artery and said he did not thing open heart was necessary. Something elevated in her blood kept us for 2 xtra days but this morning he said that whatever it was that had him concerned was back dwn. Her BP is dwn to normal now and she's breathing a lot better but still stiff and sore. We dropped off a scrip at the drug store, he says it is an absolute necessity she take it daily for at least a year. Thats 13 different meds she is on now. Might post more later. I'm too old to sleep in chairs anymore, and it was really nice to go outside tonight and see the moon and stars again, I sure don't like the city. Thanks for the prayers. Charlie.  Grin Grin

Before we left the hospitol yesterday they called our pharmacy to make sure it was covered and they said that it was. This morning I went up there to pick it up. They said that although the ins said it was good yesterday that it is NOT covered and that a puter must have had a glitch, it's $224 a month. It's called effient. The dr said he'd give us some samples so I had to go get them, another 65 miles round trip. I have enough for a month. The drs nurse is trying to find a substitute that her ins will pay for. The dr says that it will go generic in 3 months but thats not helping rt now. She's really tired today and I turned the phones OFF so she can rest. A  few more prayers if you will because this is in Gods hands. Charlie.   :( :(

I just noticed your posts today.  I'll be praying for you and your wife also.

My daughter was a medical scientist and SIL did imaging technology at Jewish in Lou.  In fact my 1st grand daughter was born there.

They now have moved to Michigan to be closer to the respective families.  I always liked Louisville, even though I too dislike big cities.  The restaurants were fabulous.  Never did find a great gun shop there though.

My prayers are with you.

LONGWINTERS. Thanks all prayers appreciated. The staff there was super. I had open heart there in 2003, the dr I had was a jerk. Pattys dr told us more in the 1st visit than mine did in the 10 days I was there. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

Good morning
Will be praying for her.
Check to see if there is a generic equivalent.  WE found one out of Chile that is 5x´s less expensive for my wife.
