MINK DRIVING ME CRAZY!! Need help!
« on: January 18, 2011, 03:38:44 AM »
I trap a creek that goes through my farm and it is real brushy. You have to be selective on where to put the sets.  I have this mink that has been avoiding me for almost 2 years.  I have cubby holes, bank hole sets and blind sets out.  This mink (he is big and smart) keeps avoiding my sets.  When the creek freezes over he raids my holes.  I am baiting with Lennon all call mink lure and fresh blue gill.  He is cleaning me out.  He will run the creek for a few yards, get on the bank, and then get back in the creek.

Need to catch him before he dies of old age.  Any advice?

Mike

Mike , time to place a few blind sets.
Use a foothold where he enters ,or exits the water.
Body grippers placed in narrow spots on his trail may also work.
If all else fails--leave him some vitamins. It may help lengthen his time on this earth and give you a few more years of entertainment.
