Hi All,

I have tried the advance of many here and have kept buying Handis but I am still infected with the virus and apparently very contagious.  My hunting partner has been eyeballing my 410 slugger and my 45 cals.  Well he just received a new 270/444 combo from Gunbroker and wants to convert the 444 to 410.  I told him he could sell the 270 barrel and he said "why would I do that".  He doesn't hunt with a CF rifle.  I told him he had to roll his own 410 slugs and he said fine show me how and I will buy the equipment.  I think there is no hope for him.  BTW, I conned him into hunting deer in Indiana next fall so he needs a Maxi, he just doesn't know it yet.  Probably needs a bigger gun safe too. ;D

I think you were at the contagious levels of virus long before now.  I now realize that the 30-30  handi barrel which came from you this past Spring, and was my first dealings with anyone on this forum, had to be infected with the "handi-virus".  Since then, I have been afflicted with an uncontrollable desire to acquire, modify, tinker, reload for and shoot another 10 handirifles and 4 Pardners (with no foreseeable remission in sight).  For all this,a heartfelt  thank you. Have a Merry Christmas
P.S. I had to buy another gun safe too.

That cracks me up!  I ran into a buddy of mine in a gun shop today and he was looking at handi's!  He has owned one in .45-70 before but traded it off in a weak moment one day.  He'll have one in the near future I'm betting!

Friend stopped here the other day, chatted about rabbit hunting and worked around to the real reason fer his visit(kinda tryin to sneak up on me)..
   Finally stated his real business, he wuz looking fer a 20 gauge handi for his rabbit huntin'..Said 'is 12 ga. handi jist kicked a little much an  'e wanted something lighter...say a 20 ga. handi..."did I have one"...now I only have 4 20ga. 158's...only one in sight so i sez "i've 'ad this ole 158 combo 30-30   20ga. since 81...I've too many memories to sell 'er again.( once sold her to newdad and said when I bought 'er back I'd not part with 'er again for a good long while)....jist couldn't bring myself to even mention the other three... :-[

They are cheap enough, even new; He WILL find one.......but make sure he gets one with the recoil pad. He will think it is magic.

?, tell him to go to Dicks' or any of the stores that carry them and he should have one in short order. I quess the "Friend" wanted to get one from you for cheaper than the selling price of about $125 out the door. Even in the expensive to live Northeast I see used 20 gauge Pardners from $75 to $85...<><....:)

  I seem to remember telling him about the 169$ Pardner pumps at Xmart..'e mentioned the H&R's..never even thought of the three 20 ga. doubles..or the three 20ga. s/shot Stevens-savage... OR the tracker 1 which I fergot about :-X ;D..I be a 20 holic.. :-[
