Beaver

The beaver area I have sole access to is frozen over but not thick enough to walk on so that I could  strategically place throught the ice bait sets.   I punched some holes around the edges where the runs used to be and put castor mounds guarded by 330's.   Does anyone here have any other suggestions?  (My first trap check will be tomorrow).

I'm in the same situation you are. I did manage to chop a hole through the ice in a narrow channel and hung a baited 330 there, but can't get to the lodge or feed pile because the ice is to thin. Temps are supposed to rise later this week. Went up stream about 1/2 a mile and found a little open water with some peeled  sticks there so I made a few castor sets with 750's. I'll keep my eye on this post.
