I shoot Taurus's Rossi 971 4" 357 with rubber grips and love it. I would give $175 for another one.

A lot of folks knock Taurus and compare them to S&W's and Rugers. They are not talking apples to apples though. It is a lot of gun for the money if you are on a budget.

I thank God everyday for my loving wife and all the fond memories of hunting with my Papa from a child until now.

Please take time to take a kid hunting, it will be a life long memory and blessing for both of you!

I’ve never owned a 669 but I currently have a 689 with 4” barrel and once owned a 689 with a 6” barrel.  I believe the frames are similar to the 669  with the exception of a ventilated rib. I’ve owned a half dozen Taurus pistols and currently own three.   I’m very happy with the 689’s accuracy and build quality.  IMO, Taurus hand guns are an excellent buy for the money.  $175 sounds like a good price for the 669 assuming that it’s in good, safe operating condition.   To help you decide, you may want to follow this check list:

Well i pulled the trigger (lol) and It now lives at my house. So far shot 75 rounds through it and am VERY happy with it hitting clay pigeons set up at 45 yards (no not every shot) for what I paid its great.

I've had a 669 with a 6" barrel for years and years. Paid 200 for it new. I cant count how many field rats I've killed with that thing while I was bushhogging with the tractor. Cant tell you how many snakes I have shot the head off of either. Back when I was shooting it regularly its the only revolver I have hit a 2 liter coke bottle with at 100 yards . I'm happy with my old revolver,I shoot mostly cast 158 swc now a days. Used to shoot 170 Sierra jhp's.
