I just bought a second .270 Win. My dies are set up for partial sizing to fit my first rifle. I don't want to tear them down and set up for the second rifle. Am I stuck buying another .270 sizing die? As an aside, I also have two .30-06 rifles, and the headspace and chambers are almost identical between the two. So much so, that neck sized loads for one will work in the other. Makes life easier for me. Maybe my .270's will be the same..........

I have two 44 magnums and bought two sets of dies. The guns are for different purposes and I treat them differently. It's only coincidental that they have the same chambering. I don't even use brass from one in the other.

I have 2 6mm rifles and they don't like the same loads. I got a set of dies with the 2nd gun and use them .I marked them #1 and#2 so I do not get confused. I have several 7tc/u's in different lengths and find they also are finicky about reloads. :wink: jh

I have a set of dies not only for each caliber, but also for each fiream when I have more than one using the same caliber.

tominboise : Before I got too excited I would try the loads you have loaded in the 2nd. 270 to see exactly what it likes it may be acceptible accuracy, if not for no more than a 2nd set of dies cost I would go for the 2nd set for the 2nd rifle.

just like ricciardelli I keep all separte dies, brass, had four ought six at once sold two of them and it was a package deal they left with there brass dies ect just to make life simple good luck

I have a 1956 Rem. 722 in .257 robts and a 1970 77 Ruger in .257 robts. and they shoot the same loads. I keep the brass seperated and marked. I guess I am pretty lucky. I would try the other 270 before I would buy new dies. I f it don't work out for you then you can change anytime. Carl L.

I have four 270 Winchester caliber rifles. One I use exclusively for cast bullets, but the other 3, I use for jacketed bullets. I own 1 set of RCBS reloading dies for this caliber. ThatÂ’s all I have ever needed. Yea, I have to adjust the seating die for different bullets/loads, but it really isnÂ’t much of a problem for me. Since none are Â“bench restÂ” style rifles and accuracy is in the M.O.A. range for all, I really think that extra dies would be an expense I really donÂ’t need. Good-luck with your ventureÂ…BCB
