Okay, after listening to all the accolades for the Tikka, I just ordered a Tikka T3 Lite in 308 Win. We'll see how it performs "out of the box" against my Rem 700 ADL in 6mm Rem and a 700 BDL in 30-06. I'll also see if I can borrow a 700 in 308 for comparison. Always been a Rem or Win fan, but I had to see what all the hype is about. If nothing else I'm sure I could trade it off for a 700 if I don't like it. Got the Lite because it came with a synthetic stock, wood is nice, but always have had problems with it traveling. Going from the flatlands in Illinois to Montana or Florida, I'm thinking the wood would definitely expand and contract more than the synthetic. Local gun range charged me $505 out the door, sounded resonable to me.
