While not the .270, I have tried the Hornady ammo mentioned.
Hornady ammo is notoriuosly fast stuff, they load hot, and in my experiance it does not developed the best accuracy on target or produce good groups in the 2 gun's I tried it in.

I have handloaded 95 gr. SST's in a 243 to about 93% of max using Ramshot Hunter with good accuracy. Also a handloaded a 25 Remington with R15 with 117 grain SSt's. Had to play around with seating depth to acheive best accuracy...definately not seated very close to the lands, about 0.050" off IIRC.
