Browning pump 22
« on: December 19, 2010, 12:21:15 PM »
I posted this in the rimfire section as well, but thought Browning owners might have these as well.  Found one that is good shape, few marks on the wood, bluing ok, crown good and tight action.  Can get it for $300, is that a good price?  Are there any problems with them and are they good shooters?  DP

I would buy it for $300.
There were 2 grades. You can tell by the serial number which it is.
Grade 1 31ed Blue Book 100% $350 98% $300 95% $265 and down to 60% $125. But Blue book is not always reflective of the price in your area.
You don't see them very often. Looking on gunbroker they only had 4 listed in the last 3 months. 2 sold for $369 and $755.

They aren't made anymore (1977-1982) stopped due to cost of production.
They are unique, accurate, fast shooting with a short stroke.

I have one in 22 mag and spent quite a few months before I found one I could afford at a local gun show.
I really like it.
