Winchester 1300 ?
« on: March 01, 2010, 07:20:21 AM »
I just picked up a Win 1300 20GA in a trade.

Does anyone know if there is a Cantilever Rifled barrel available for it.

I can't seem to find one on any websights.

Thanks,
Barry

I have never seen one.  I looked for one for my 12 ga 1300 and no luck.  My receiver is tapped for a weaver mount though.  Good luck finding a magazine cap with a sling stud on it for that gun, 20 ga I mean.

Great guns though!

They have 22 inch rifled factory barrels for the 20 ga. 1300.  $179.00.  Got em in 12 ga. as well.

I had a 1300 in synthetic with a 26 or 28 inch barrel and it kicked so hard with Turkey loads that I couldn't imagine shooting a magnum slug in it. I sold it to buy my Handi.

Live simple. Hunt Hard. Love Life.

I thank God everyday for my loving wife and all the fond memories of hunting with my Papa from a child until now.

Please take time to take a kid hunting, it will be a life long memory and blessing for both of you!

I have a 1300 with a short barrel and pistol grip that I keep in the truck alot with buckshot in it. Never had shot it just hauled it around. One fine day while riding around at work had a nice sow in the weeds about 20 yards from the truck that thought she was hidden and I thought I would just shoot her with that thing and throw her on the smoker. I grabbed it pistol style one handed a shot her and that shotgun hit me so hard in the forehead it just about knocked me out, had to sit down beside the truck for a minute to let the stars clear!  no more 3 in 00 buck in the pistol grip shotgun!!! ;)

 ;D Now that's a good story! :D
You might try the smoothbore before you jump in with a rifled barrel. I have a 12 ga. m1300 with a 22" smoothbore barrel with open sights and choke tubes. With the improved cylinder tube it put five S&B slugs into a 6" group at 100 yards and I couldn't guarantee much better with a rifle having such coarse sights.
