I shoot competively in Cowboy Action every two weeks and have done so for fifteen (15) years.....I hesitate to write this, but really do feel that it is necessary at this time....I will NOT be shooting until the current supplied ammo situation changes in the USA. There is something afoot and until I can buy what I need (no longer reload and even if I still had the ability, the components are not there right now)I think it a judicious idea to conserve what I do possess. I may visit the odd match or two AND WILL DEFINITELY provide everything necessary for the the Club Shotgun Match, as I have done in the past, scenarios, awards and my ever lively personality! I do hope and pray that you understand where I am coming from and possibily review your own thoughts on what is happening. I am not alarmist by nature and surely do not want to be equated as somewhat off the track, but it is time to sit back for abit and see what unfolds..... I know the feeling RB.  Long range sessions have been curtailed until further notice here as well.  I wish something would break one way or the other.   This sitting in limbo is enough to drive one nuts.

I don't shoot anywhere near as much as I used to. Not that long ago I'd go the the hunting camp and hang out with the guys. It wasn't unusual for me to go thru a brick of 22's in a weekend. Now I find myself hoarding them and not shooting my centerfire's as much either as reloading components are scarce. I'm OK on the things mentioned above for now but just want to stay that way. And no RB, you're not thinking too much. A lot of us see things like you do. I stocked up on 22's and such back in 08' and did another stocking on reloading stuff last year. Most shooting I do now is deer hunting and load testing. Neither takes many rounds.

I've cut back plinking and "fun shooting" except to check my scopes now and then..   I'll hang onto what i have until we can see what Obama does concerning a brownshirt force..

Well---it is no longer fun shooting but real practice that I do. It is also less shooting but more intense training.
We will see!
I agree with GB and his policy---some postings are getting to the point of wierd.
