I had a pair of LaCross pack boots that had some bad gashes in the water proof rubber sole, these boots were steel toe and didnt find a likely replacement, in the end I had wiped down the boot with rubbing alcohol and treated the whole rubber portion with 3-M 5200 boat hull sealant, it takes about a week for this stuff to fully set, but when it does its just like rubber, Ive used used it to patch gastanks as it is resistant to gas and oil, even used it to fix a weed wacker that had a cracked inlet nipple, I glomed on some that 3-m 5200 on and let er set in 3 days I was cutting brush & weeds.
I had a 4yro pair of waders that had a snag on one ankle, was able to use a NAPA rubber intertube patch (works really good).
A pilot at work mentioned he used aircraft de-ice boot patches to do the same thing, de-ice boot patches are just like a tire patch but considerbly bigger some can be as big as 3"x5".
I had a 1yro pair of BOGG neoprene/rubber boots the rubber portion snagged in some brush and I had a 2" V-shaped tear on inside the instep, I stiched it a couple places useing a glovers needle and dental floss, unfortuneately My Shoe Goo was old or had been froze as it was set up in the tube, none in town (OTZ,Alaska) so I tried Amazeing goop but it soon leaked, I had to go on a flight and wanted boots but My only ones leak'd and non in town in my size (11) so in despiration I used Gorilla Glue and it seal'd the 2" (ULLIK=eskimo for tear) the glue fizzed up and looked like hell but it flexes and the boot is now on its second season since being fixed like that.
In early june my Daughter & one her friends came bouncing in the house wanting dear ole Papa Rex to air friends ATV tire, the Rt Aft tire was flat and off the bead, I aired the tire and managed to get the bead to seat, I noticed 3 nails in the tire, I used rubber plug patch on the tubeless ATV tire, My plug patch glue was all used up so I gooberd the plug's useing gorilla glue, the tire is still up.
