I was thinking about getting a a new bolt gun but then I thought about a encore barrel from Bulberry in 280 AI with a 24 in. barrel. What do you guys think?

I have pretty much that exact same configuration from BBBW. They do awesome work and mine is very accurate. I got mine in the medium varmint contour, could have gone one step lighter and still been happy. If you can stand the wait, then I recommend bullberry very highly.

Here's a pic of mine. BBBW did the whole rifle except the stock finish. I ordered it in utility grade and finished it at home.

FYI - MGM has a 280 AI 26" blue in stock if interested. I have a heavy contour 500 SW barrel 26" SS that shoots lights out, fit and finish is very good.

I've never bought a new barrel from Bullberry but have had 2 used barrels and a stock set and I was very happy with the quality. Both were flat out shooters and I loved the stock (it was a higher grade of wood and too pretty for what I was going to use it for and sold it). Wait time seems to be the knock on Bullberry. If I were buying new I'd probably go with MGM because of that.

I haver owned a MGM but have had a number of conversations with staff at the gun show and I must say the quality and finish is very nice on their barrels. Deaconllb

I ordered 5 pistol barrels when they had them on sale.  Even my 8" (that's right 8 inches) 45-70 barrel will shoot nice cloverleafs at 100 yards!  Took a LONG time to get it.  I can recommend them, but you WILL be waiting and waiting, and waiting.....

Last time I spoke to them they said that they were about to focus some of their attention on extractors, locking bolts and barrel lugs.  They have been purchasing those parts from TC, only making the barrels.  They've had to wait for the parts mentioned, but they are trying to tool up to make their own to save time.
