Newest edition to the family
« on: August 05, 2010, 11:34:01 AM »
This is my first Classic H&R rifle and it happens to be the 45LC carbine.  I thought the regular Handis were short and light, but this thing is sweet ;D

Not a great pic, but here she is..................

I love the rifle and the hardwood floor....it looks like home :D

Tim's got some barrels coming from a guy we both know, and one is a .38-55 for me.  It's just gotta live on a BC stockset.  Oh crap. :'(  Now it's time for that, a frame, dies, bullets, brass etc., etc.  Gonna have ta put an addition on the house soon, and get Patty a second job. ::) ::)

Pete,

I have been in the remodeling of this Old House for several years, but it does have great floors.  I am in the same predicament somewhat..............I jumped on a set of 7-30 waters dies the other day...........don't even have a rifle close to that chambering.  I had to ask forgiveness and beg off, I knew what it was going to lead to ;D

Rev Bobby, ours is a hundred year old farm house.  Added to here and there, with mill end pieces of mixed hardwood for the floor.  It is just beautiful.  We've been remodeling for 20 years...don't give up now.

Beg off?? Beg off??  What's dat??  I've been there,  I posted earlier I have a devil on my left shoulder shouting in my ear...."BUY, BUY"  The angel on the right shoulder is a lot more conservative.  Perhaps I ought to spend more time with the Angel.

I now know what you do, and you have my greatest respect and admiration.  Thank you for helping all of us.

Sweet little gun.  I mounted my 357 max. barrel to my BC frame and stock.....Now I need another frame and stock set for the BC as this shoots so well I hate to touch it.....

Congrats 8)  I got mine to be a companion to my .45 Colt New Model Blackhawk and I've been extremely happy and surprised that it is as versatile a weapon as it is.  With the factory iron sights I'm grouping under 3" at 100 yards and I rarely shoot deer at more than that, so I think it's perfect for me. ;)  Cheers
