Yes, it was my understanding that Rossi made inferior single shot firearms.

I don't know.  The new Rossi WIZARDs look pretty good and the QC has to be decent if the barrels are interchangeable without fitting.  Will be interesting to see some reports on them.

I've got a couple Rossi's... they're just as good as my Handi's
I wish H&R would go back to the low profile hammers like the Rossi's have. It's easier to mount a scope on the Rossi.
Rossi's actually have a safety too... something H&R forgot about.

The Rossis' I have are good guns in general. I sure can't whine about the way they shoot.  If the price is right, I'll buy more.

I've been looking at a .30-06 in the rossi, then I can perhaps buy some different barrels and try them out.  I've been holding off, though, because what I'd really like for a long range is the 7mm-08 or other 7mm chambering.  They still haven't released all the calibers, so it's keeping me at bay, until I see that they follow through on all the caliber offerings.  Certainly a big improvement cost wise over the TC encore.

i hate to talk about it in here but its hard to keep my mouth shut about it. i just bought a CVA apex in .35 whelen. i know there $200 more than a handi but when i went to sight it in i was havin trouble finding my group so when i drove the truck to the target they were in the same hole. 35 clicks up 10 clicks right dead on. some one mentioned TC, well they aint got jack on an apex and the few TC's ive handled i thought were nice till i felt this thing. a TC just feels sloppy now. in fact the one on the shelf when i bought mine was sloppy you could feel and see the barrel move on the action side to side when it was open. i think TC must be slippin. still love my 45-70 handi though its a shooter too!! ;D ;D
what part of "shall not be infringed" dont you understand???
