I have a H&R Topper Model 158 16 ga with no serial number other than the AB code (which I am told places the manufacture date as 1965). Can I use a Topper 158 marked 30-30 22" factory barrel on this frame/stock? This model Topper has the snap on forearm. I was told on another forum that the shotgun frames aren't made for centerfire barrels and are unsafe to use as rifles. I just wanted to hear the expert opinions from this forum to confirm that opinion.
